Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale, a Nigerian American pro basketball player who plays for the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association. Arike Ogunbowale was a college basketball player as a member of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish before being drafted to the Wings as the fifth overall selection in the 2019 WNBA. Arike Ogunbowale was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on March 2 1997. She was the second child of Yolanda Ogunbowale and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26 years old) and Dare Ogunbowale (19 years) are her older brothers. She was the youngest in her family and her parents spoilt her the most. The father of her Gregory was posted with the Nigerian Army for quite some time. Ogunbowale hails from a dynamic family. Ogunbowale was crowned gold at the 2013 U16 FIBA Americas Championships and 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships and 2013 U18 FIBA 3x3 Championships. Ogunbowale was selected as one of the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team 7 July 2014. Ogunbowale was also selected to the ACC All-Freshman Team for her debut collegiate season.
